The Emporia High softball team was swept by Manhattan on Friday.
Manhattan took the opener, 1-0, and took the finale, 12-0 in five innings.
In game one, Manhattan got a solo home run in the sixth inning, good enough for the win. The Lady Spartans were held to four hits. Alivia Anno went six innings allowing one run on six hits and five strikeouts.
In game two, Manhattan scored in every inning to complete the sweep. The Indians scored one in the first, two each in the second and third innings and seven in the fourth. Emporia High was held to three hits in the game. Anno went 3 1/3 innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and one strikeout.
Emporia High is now 2-10, 0-6 Centennial. The Lady Spartans host Highland Park on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. doubleheader at Peter Pan Park.
