Emporian Asher Delmott will be running in the London Marathon on Sunday.
Out of the six major marathons held across the world, this will be his fourth. Delmott competed in the Boston Marathon in 2018 and competed in both the Chicago and New York Marathons in 2019.
Delmott said training for London has gone pretty well.
Delmott said London will provide a different challenge than the first three he’s completed in the United States.
Delmott will start the marathon at 10 a.m. London time, which is 4 a.m. Emporia time on Sunday. Delmott’s goal is to finish in around three hours, which is what he finished the Chicago, New York, and Boston Marathons in.
Delmott said after completing London, he’s interested in doing both the Berlin and Tokyo Marathons soon. Delmott said it’ll take a little bit longer to do so due to the international travel and there’s more to get in place before each marathon.
