The Emporia State men’s tennis team fell 6-1 to #9 Washburn in the Turnpike Tennis Tussle on Wednesday at the Kossover Family Tennis Center. The loss eliminated the Hornets from postseason contention in the MIAA/GAC Tournament. The Ichabods took the doubles point winning two of three matches. #50 Anton Sarunic tallied the only point for ESU on the day with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 upset victory over #26 Sebastian Pjontek at #1 singles.
