The USD 252 Honor Flight was a success yet again.
Honor Flight takes students and veterans on a two-day trip to Washington to see a host of memorials and other landmarks.
Vietnam veteran Tom Soetart has been to the nation’s capital several times, but this was his first Honor Flight. He says the reaction to his service was vastly different from when he came home from Vietnam.
Surgeon Dr. Tim Harris was also on his first Honor Flight.
Olpe student Rowdy Orear says it was a great trip.
Hartford student Avery House was escorting her grandfather.
For several years, USD 252 has organized two Honor Flights per academic year. There will be one trip next year.
