Xavier Hall won the men’s 110m hurdles on Saturday at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence. Hall finished in first by .01 seconds with a 13.98 just beating out a freshman from Oklahoma for the win. Senior Ashley Wildeman logged a pair of top ten finishes in the 100m and 200m dash. Clarice Nichols was sixth in the women’s long jump while Jayda Harris was sixth in the triple jump. Mele Taula was sixth in the women’s shot put while Travis Morrison finished seventh in the men’s event. Madison Vermetten was seventh in the women’s hammer. Zach Sulzen-Watson was fourth in the men’s discus. The Hornets return to action at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Northwest Missouri on Friday.
