Tight end Travis Kelce has signed a contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs that will make him the highest-paid tight end in the league. The deal is worth $34.25 million and will be fully guaranteed in 2024 worth $17 million. Kelce played in all but one game last year for Kansas City and had his NFL position record streak snapped of seven-straight 1,000 yard seasons. However, Kelce had one of his most productive playoff runs with a career-high 32 playoff receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns including 19 receptions that went for first downs on the way to the Chiefs winning a second-straight Super Bowl. Kelce is a nine-time Pro Bowler and seven-time All-Pro and is the fifth NFL tight end to reach 10,000 career receiving yards.
