The Chase County boys track and field team won the Burlington Invitational on Tuesday.
Chase County won five events with 138 points, 12 more than runner-up Lyndon. Tag Groh won the 200m with a time of 23.82 and the 400m with a time of 49.85. The Bulldogs also got victories with their three relays, the 4x100m (44.06), the 4x400m (3:30.49) and the 4x800m (9:23.47). Brock Griffin finished second in the 100m with a time of 11.92. Silus Herandez finished second in the 800m (2:14.58). Colin Monihen second in 110m hurdles (19.37). Maddex Beyer finished second in the triple jump (38-5.75), 3rd in 300m hurdles (47.81), and third in the long jump (19-2).
The Lyndon boys finished second behind Chase County. Tanner Heckel won four events, the 100m with a time of 11.42, the long jump (22-6), the javelin (177-4), and the triple jump (45-0.5). Josh Vignery won the 110m and 300m hurdles. He finished the 110m in 19.17 and the 300m in 44.48. Kaedin Massey won the discus with a throw of 143-3 and took second in the shot put (46-10.50). The 4x400m relay team finished second (3:48.55). Zach Criqui finished second in the 400m (55.45). James Marcotte finished third in the 200m (24.85). Jalen Massey took third in the triple jump (35-0).
The Olpe girls finished third with 86 points. Lilly Skalsky won the 3,200m in 13:06.50 and took second in the 1,600m (6:02.53). Aubryn Garriott won the triple jump with a mark of 33-8. Kadey Robert finished second in the 400m (1:05.25). Milly Bailey finished third in the 800m (2:42.76) was third in the long jump (14-9). Ella Wilson finished third in the 300m hurdles (55.17). The 4x400m relay finished third (4:37.72) while the 4x800m relay also finished third (10:54.19).
The Lyndon girls finished fourth with 64 points. Trysten Sowers won the 400m with a time of 1:03.54 and took second in the 200m (28.75). The 4x100m relay finished second (52.50), while the 4x400m relay finished second (4:27.27). Reanna Marcotte finished third in the triple jump (31-9.50).
The Northern Heights girls finished in a tie for fifth with 52 points. Ellei McCrory won the 1,600m in 5:39.14. The 4x800m relay team finished won the event in 10:41.54. Josie Tiffany finished second in the 3,200m (13:23.49). Addisyn Hinrichs finished second in the 100m and 300m hurdles. She finished the 100m in 18.42 and the 300m in 53.87.
The Lebo girls also finished in a tie for fifth with 52 points. Audrey Peek won the javelin (116-9). Cira Plummer finished third in the 3,200m (14:31.30). Alexis Hutchinson third in the high jump (4-8). Rachael Barnhardt was third in the discus (113-8).
The Lebo boys finished fifth with 39 points. Caleb Durst won the 1,600m with a time of 4:41.28 and the 3,200m with a time of 10:30.72. Grayson Shoemaker finished third in the 800m (2:15.26).
The Olpe boys finished seventh with 34 points. Kaleb Arnold finished second in the 1,600m (4:43.21) and was second the 3,200m (10:31.12).
The Chase County girls finished eighth with 43 points. Madelyn Wilson won the shot put with a toss of 37-5, was second in the discus (116-5) and took second in the javelin (115-3).
The Northern Heights boys finished ninth with 29 points. Rees Spade won the 800m with a time of 2:11.63 and took third in the 1,600m (4:52.98).
The Madison boys finished 11th with 12 points. Hayden Helm was third in the discus (119-3), and took third in the javelin (140-9). The Madison girls finished 12th with 7.5 points.
