Emporia High sophomore Allisyn Weiss won the Topeka High Invitational on Tuesday.
It was Weiss’ eighth victory this season and a personal best score of 503.05, winning the meet by nearly 100 points over Kaylee Gregg of Hayden.
Weiss will now focus on the Centennial League Championships next Thursday in Topeka. The swim portion of the meet got through three events before storms/tornado sirens were heard causing the meet to be halted. No make-up date has been announced for the resumption of the meet. If the swim portion of the meet does not resume, the Lady Spartans will now focus on the Centennial League Championships.
