A little over a month to the day after the announcement that the Sweet Granada would be expanding operations to Southern Kansas City, the new storefront is set for its grand opening later this week.
Sweet Granada Owner Kim Redeker says a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at noon Friday at the new location in the Red Bridge Shopping Center at 533 East Red Bridge in Kansas City. Redeker says they have a lot planned for this weekend’s grand opening.
The new storefront was announced on April 1 with Redeker telling KVOE News the expansion was the direct result of both great investment decisions in production over the past few years and the need for growth physically and financially.

The Sweet Granada originally opened in the Granada Theatre’s south storefront back in November of 2004. The business would relocate to its now longtime home next door to the theatre back in October of 2013.
