Commencement activities are coming soon at the higher education level.
Emporia State University will have its graduation activities May 10-11, both at White Auditorium. Candidates for graduate degrees will get their diplomas at 6 pm May 10, while candidates for undergraduate degrees will have their ceremony begin at 9:30 am May 11. Auditorium doors will open to the public 90 minutes before the ceremonies officially start.
Board of Regents member Wint Winter will have remarks May 10, while fellow Regent Blake Benson will address the undergraduates.
Meanwhile, Flint Hills Technical College will have its commencement activities at 10 am May 18, also at White Auditorium. The college’s Dental Hygiene pinning ceremony will be at 6 pm May 17 at the Metcalf Building, or main campus at 3301 West 18th.
