Chase County deputies have arrested a Strong City man after an alleged foot pursuit this week.
The Sheriff’s Office says the incident developed around 11:45 pm Monday as deputies tried to contact Trenton Collins for unspecified reasons. Collins allegedly fled on foot by using the pedestrian bridge over the Cottonwood River.
Chase County’s drone found Collins hiding in some trees.
Collins was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia, as well as interference with law enforcement and not having a fishing license. He was also arrested on an outstanding unspecified warrant.
Formal charges are pending.
