Jeremy Rusco is a busy man.
Already overseeing the start of activities for the Dynamic Discs Open through Sunday as well as plans for expanded operations at Champions Landing, Rusco is now involved in an improvement project for downtown Emporia.
Rusco believes this new facility could be a big addition to the city’s bustling entertainment scene.
Construction began Friday morning near 10th and Commercial, and Rusco believes the early work should be done — at least for food trucks — in time for the Dynamic Discs Open block party Saturday evening. Rusco says there will be dedicated power for food trucks and the stage, which has been used for Emporia State Unviersity’s Live at the Hive tailgate parties.
A timetable for finished construction is pending, but Rusco believes the final paving work could be done within the next two months.
