The skies may have been dreary, but the atmosphere was as positive as could be at the start of the 2024 regular season for the Emporia Farmers Market Saturday morning.
Director Trisha Fullerton tells KVOE News that even with the slight drizzle and colder temperatures, there was a lot of excitement for the kickoff of this year’s season. She adds, no matter the conditions there will always be something to find at the market.
The start of the regular season follows the end of winter markets last month. Fullerton recently told KVOE News it was a very successful winter season and one that has led to high hopes for the summer months.
The Farmers Market will now be held every Saturday in the parking lot at Seventh and Merchant from 8 am to 10:30 am now through October. Wednesday markets are set to begin June 5 and continue through September.
