Formal charges are pending against a Burlington man arrested last week on suspicion of trafficking contraband into a correctional or care facility.
Coffey County deputies arrested John Lee Groshong, age 52, on Thursday. Deputies booked Groshong on suspicion of trafficking contraband, interfering with law enforcement and conspiracy to use or possession with intent to use paraphernalia.
Formal charges are also pending in a separate drug distribution case.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Hailey Nichole Settlemyer on suspicion of distributing up to 100 grams of depressants, possessing a hallucinogenic drug and using or possessing paraphernalia.
Deputies have not divulged other details about either case.
