Several schedule adjustments have been announced with the potential of severe weather by Monday evening.
Higher Education:
*ESU Athletics’ Corkys Celebration postponed to Tuesday.
Schools
*Emporia High varsity golf meet at Emporia Golf Course postponed to May 8.
*CTE Night and Free Physical Night at Emporia High School has been postponed. CTE Night will not be rescheduled. Free Physical Night will be made up at a later day.
*Emporia Christian School all after-school activities canceled Monday. Parents are asked to pick up children by 3:30 pm.
*USD 251 North Lyon County Elementary/Junior High track practice canceled. Northern Heights track and baseball practices will end at 4:30 pm Monday.
*USD 252 South Lyon County all after-school activities and practices canceled Monday.
*USD 245 Southern Coffey County community Education and Safety bond meeting in Gridley postponed Monday to May 10.
*USD 284 Chase County all junior high and high school practices canceled Monday.
*USD 330 Mission Valley National Honor Society banquet postponed until further notice Monday.
*USD 386 Madison-Virgil junior/senior high Bulldog Boost, elementary school AfterZone and Skillz and Drills recreational basketball camp canceled Monday.
*USD 389 Eureka students to be dismissed at 3 pm. All after-school activities canceled Monday.
*USD 390 Hamilton releasing bus students at 3:15 pm and all other students/staff at 3:45 pm Monday, or 30 minutes earlier than normal.
*USD 417 Council Grove Elementary music program postponed Monday to May 13.
*USD 420 Osage City grades 5-12 band concert to start at 6:30 pm. Softball at Chase County canceled Monday.
Churches-Emporia
*Messiah Lutheran Church LWML postponing its salad supper from May 6 to May 13.
Community Activities-Emporia
*Lyon County WIC breastfeeding support group meeting canceled Monday.
*Emporia Spartan Boxing Club 6 pm class canceled. 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm classes optional.
Community Locations-Area
*Burnley Memorial Library in Cottonwood Falls to be open from 2-6 pm Monday.
Businesses – Emporia
*Crystal Nails closing at 3 p.m. due to forecasted weather.
*Stingers closed Monday. Will be open on Tuesday.
