Council Grove’s Drew Buchman shot a personal best 65 (-6) to win the Flint Hills League Championship held at Emporia Golf Course on Tuesday.
Buchman won the tournament by 18 strokes over teammate Brycen Palmquist who shot an 83. Dax Myers made it a clean sweep of the top 3 spots for the Braves finishing third with an 86. Lyndon’s Casten Wirth and Osage City’s Wyatt Bailey tied for fourth with an 87.
Council Grove’s Landon Dody finished sixth with an 88. Lyndon’s Daxten Miller and Caleb Anschutz finished seventh and eighth with rounds of 91 and 93 respectively. Council Grove’s Trace Adams was ninth with a 94 and West Franklin’s Trent Horton rounded out the top 10 finishing 10th with a 95.
Council Grove shot a personal best 322 to win the tournament by 46 strokes over Lyndon who shot a 368. Osage City finished third with a 382. Council Grove and Osage City will travel to Salina for regionals on Monday while Lyndon will travel to Atchison for its regional on Monday.
