One person was hurt after two separate crashes in the same general area of Greenwood County on Sunday night.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies, Greenwood County EMS and Madison responded to a reported injury crash in the 3300 block of Kansas Highway 99, between Hamilton and Madison, at around 9 pm. Deputies say 44-year-old Jeramia Linden of Hamilton was driving a car northbound and hit two bulls on the highway. Linden was treated at the scene and went to Newman Regional Health by private vehicle afterward.
Shortly thereafter, 57-year-old Kimberly Benson, also of Hamilton, approached the scene traveling southbound and hit one of the injured cows. She was not hurt and drove home.
There is no word on whether either or both of the cows survived.
