The path towards trial in a Lyon County drug distribution case has been halted, at least for now.
Skylar Rose Creed was supposed to attend a trial status hearing Wednesday afternoon but didn’t, so Judge Lee Fowler canceled potential trial proceedings that could have started as soon as this upcoming Monday. Judge Fowler also issued a bench warrant for Creed’s arrest and revoked bond in this case.
Creed is accused of distributing up to 100 units of fentanyl as part of an alleged incident in early August 2023. She faces one count for that alleged crime, as well as single counts of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia.
Creed was one of two people initially accused in this case. Co-defendant Stephen Jennison received 18 months probation with an underlying two-year prison term, a year’s worth of postrelease supervision and 18 months’ worth of drug treatment after a plea agreement reached last fall.
