A pretrial hearing is coming later this month in a Lyon County vehicular murder case.
On Friday, Judge Jeff Larson set a hearing date for May 28 in the case against Travis Edwards, accused in the traffic deaths of two people. Edwards, a semi driver, is charged will killing 29-year-old Ryan Miller of Independence, Missouri, and 32-year-old Jacob Suenram of Lawrence as part of a five-vehicle fatality wreck on US Highway 50 near Road C on April 5. Edwards and three others were hurt.
Potential trial dates have not been set in the Edwards case. Besides two second-degree murder counts, Edwards is charged with three counts of aggravated battery and one count of interfering with law enforcement.
