The week ahead has numerous chances for rain, occasional chances for storms and practically no chances for severe weather.
There is a good chance of showers and embedded thunderstorms through Monday and a moderate chance for Monday evening. Tuesday should be clear and dry, but rain chances return late Wednesday morning and then stay with us through Friday afternoon. Rain is possible but unlikely this upcoming weekend.
Besides Monday, the best chances for rain this week are Wednesday night through Thursday.
So far, the KVOE studios have received 0.05 inches of rain from Sunday night into Monday morning. The Emporia Municipal Airport has received 0.09 inches. Other totals:
