Now three of four defendants in an Emporia robbery case originating this past summer have been sentenced to probation.
The latest to be sentenced was Calvin Cruse, who got 24 months probation after pleading no contest to single counts of aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery. Co-defendants Elssy Cervantes and Mikkel McCray got 24 months probation for conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.
Antonio Brown, the fourth and final defendant in this case, was originally set for a status conference May 23 but that has been delayed to June 5. He’s charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
