The season has come to an end for the Emporia High softball team.
Maize South defeated the Lady Spartans, 14-0, in five innings of their Class 5A regional hosted by Maize South on Tuesday. Emporia High did not register a hit in the game. The Lady Mavs led 10-0 after two innings after a consecutive five-run innings in the first and second. Maize South added one in the third and three in the fourth for the win.
Emporia High finishes its season with a 6-17 record and graduates five seniors from this year’s team including Addie Kirmer, Clara Williams, Maedeen McClure, Danika Williams, and Hayden Mann.
