The Osage City softball team is heading to the Class 3A State Tournament.
Osage City won the Class 3A regional hosted by Burlington by defeating Burlingame/Northern Heights, 6-1, in the semifinals and 11-1 against Prairie View in the regional championship game.
Against Prairie View, Tayler Ericson and Gracy Smith each went 3-for-4 at the plate. Peyton Pitts went six innings allowing one run on eight hits and three strikeouts. Against Burlingame/Northern Heights, Pitts went seven innings allowing one run on three hits and 10 strikeouts while also going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Osage City enters the Class 3A State Tournament with a 20-1 record. The Class 3A State Tournament will be held at the Envista Softball Complex in Topeka on May 23 and 24.
