An Emporia resident escaped serious injuries following a rollover accident early Saturday morning.
According to Lyon County Deputy Robert Miller, the accident occurred right around midnight in the 1500 block of Road F5 and involved a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by 19-year-old Braxton Eckman of Emporia. Miller says Eckman was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle at the curve of the roadway.
The vehicle then entered a field and rolled ejecting Eckman from the driver-side window. Eckman received treatment at the scene for suspected non-life-threatening injuries and was released without need for further treatment.
Eckman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The crash is under investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
