Taylor Kriley is familiar with Emporia State University as an alum and department head. She will build on that familiarity with her new administrative role on campus.
Kriley was named as Emporia State’s Vice President for Student Success on Friday. She begins her role in July.
Kriley began as a student in 2005 before earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in school counseling and communication, as well as a minor in leadership studies. She then added a doctor of education degree from Baker University in 2018, focusing on leadership in higher education.
Kriley has also worked at Emporia State in the past, serving as the director of fraternity and sorority life in 2011 before accepting the role of senior director for the Center for Student Involvement in January 2016. Kriley has also served in several administrative roles at Fort Hays State University, including senior diversity officer, director for diversity and inclusion, assistant vice president for student affairs and assistant professor of advanced education programs.
Kriley’s new role as Vice President for Student Success has her overseeing almost all non-academic units except infrastructure, with her purview including Career Services, Center for Student Involvement, Memorial Union, Residential Life, Student Recreation Services and Student Wellness.
