Pretrial and arraignment is coming next month following an alleged chase in the Emporia city limits earlier this year.
Jose Salomon-Ambriz was set for his next hearing at 10 am June 17 after a preliminary hearing Wednesday. Pretrial motions must be filed by that date.
Salomon-Ambriz was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement and one count of interference with law enforcement after an alleged incident last month. He’s accused of fleeing from law enforcement as officers were in the process of serving an arrest warrant against him Tuesday. Emporia Police has said Salomon-Ambriz nearly hit two officers with his car before entering a house in the 400 block of Rural.
