The Jones Aquatic Center was busy for its opening day Saturday.
Sunny, warm and breezy conditions made for almost ideal weather to start the season. Supervisor Jen Wegener says another thing that helped was the amount of preparation and training leading into Saturday, starting with spring break.
Saturday’s opening day for the public followed a soft open for staffers and their family members Friday night. Wegener says the Aquatic Center is offering swim lessons as well as other activities like yoga and aquatic fitness.
Pool hours are 1-6 pm daily. Admission is $5 for adults ages 16 and older and $ for youths ages 4-15.

Meanwhile, the Peter Pan Park splash pad is open this holiday weekend as well. Hours are 10 am to 8 pm most days, with the exception of 12-8 pm Mondays.
