One person has been hospitalized and one taken into custody following a stabbing in the 1100 block of Congress early Saturday night.
Emporia Police Sgt. Dominik Vortherms tells KVOE News they were dispatched to the apartment complex at 1101 Congress around 6 pm.
The name of the victim has not been released, nor has the name of the individual taken into custody, however, Vortherms says it was a male who is believed to be a resident of the apartment complex. Officers did have to search briefly for the individual before apprehending him without incident.
The apartment complex was taped off for roughly three hours as officers conducted their investigation. Law enforcement cleared the scene just after 9:20 pm.
