Low-end severe thunderstorm chances are in place for parts or all of the KVOE listening area through Monday, depending on the day.
Saturday’s marginal risk involves chances for 1-inch hail and 60-mph winds. Storms may reach Emporia by late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, but they will be weakening as they arrive. The marginal risk area involves locations along and west of a line from Manhattan to Emporia to Lamont.
Sunday’s risk also involves hail and wind, and it also involves weakening storms arriving in the evening to early-overnight hours. All area counties are currently included.
For Monday, all area counties have a marginal risk for afternoon and early-evening storm activity.
