When the calendar turns to June, that means another opportunity for community members to attend the Emporia Farmer’s Market.
Wednesday markets begin this week from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot at 7th and Merchant.
Emporia Farmer’s Market Coordinator Trisha Fullerton says Wednesdays give vendors and attendees another option to buy or sale more items that have not been available.
Fullerton says another addition to the Wednesday markets will be the Lyon County Extension Office being on hand twice a month cooking an item made with fresh ingredients from the market. Fullerton says recipes will also be available with items attendees can purchase at the market.
During select markets in July, the Emporia Flute Choir will perform during the market.
Wednesday markets join Saturday markets which are held from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
