Kansas 17th District Senate Republican hopeful David Schneider says a return of conservative values is what he hopes to bring to the Kansas state-house if elected later this year.
While speaking with KVOE News Tuesday, Schneider stated he feels there has been a lack of conservative values across the 17th district in recent years, specifically family values.
Schneider, the owner of an insurance claims inspection business, Rising Strategies LLC, and former banker, will face former USD 252 Southern Lyon County Superintendent Mike Argabright in the primary election in August. Schneider says he does not want to have an adversarial relationship with either Argabright or Democrat Lillian Lingenfelter who has also filed for the position.
That being said, Schneider, who served as the regional director and first state director of the Convention of States Project, believes he brings far more experience with the legislative process to the role than either of his opponents.
If elected, Schneider says his main focus will be on property rights and tax policy. The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6.
