Area residents had a chance to get together at a special setting this past weekend as the Chase County Chamber held its now-annual River Suite.
As usual, the event was held on the old Cottonwood River bridge between Cottonwood Falls and Strong City. Chamber Director Toni Schneider says the event is a good way to connect the two communities and the county as a whole. With Symphony in the Flint Hills taking place immediately afterward, Schneider says the Chamber likes to use the events in tandem to promote Chase County, even though this year’s Symphony was in Greenwood County.
The Cliff provided dinner for those attending, with Tallgrass Express String Band providing the entertainment.
Schneider says planning is now underway for the Chase County Country Christmas, which will take place the weekend after Thanksgiving.
