Symphony in the Flint Hills this past weekend dazzled up to 7,000 people from around the area and around the world.
Board member Dylan Evans’ family owns the Greenwood County property where the concert took place. He says the Red Ranch site made perfect sense when potential locations were being discussed.
As has been the case in years past, the concert involving the Kansas City Symphony had a special guest — this time with vocalist Katharine McPhee as the the featured performer. Numerous events also filled up Saturday’s schedule, including covered wagon rides, guided prairie walks, history and art experiences. Next year’s concert will be the 20th for Symphony in the Flint Hills, and board member Karen Hibbard encourages residents to mark June 14 for the big event.
The location for next year’s event has not been announced.
