Emporia State LEAP students are busy this summer conducting research studies with multiple emphases.
Kamon Haydock and Luke Gleason are doing a research study on a project establishing exercise routines for people. Haydock says he and Gleason are doing this study because of their background in personal training.
Gleason says he’s excited about this project to help people out.
The first session for Gleason and Haydock’s study begins on July 8.
Abi Reid is doing a research study on performance outcomes of strength training involving mountain biking and gravel. Reid says she was unsure of what she wanted to study, but wanted it to surround strength training.
Isaac Tarango is doing a research study on the effects of a therapy technique on functional outcomes in the older Hispanic community. Tarango says in the future he wants to be in physical therapy while improving balance and reaction times around the Hispanic community.
