The Emporia Recreation Commission’s New Rec Center Steering Committee has two big steps immediately ahead.
On Thursday, committee members will have formal interviews with the finalists for architecture engineering and construction manager at risk firms to lead construction of either a new public recreation center or an expanded Lee Beran Rec Center. Committee members also plan to select the firms that will handle those duties before the meeting is done
The meeting begins at 8:30 am and continues all day. Six firms will be sit in front of the board for interviews. The interview schedule:

*11:30 a.m. Schaefer
*1:15 p.m. Perkins & Will
*2:30 p.m. MultiStudio
*3:45 p.m. BG Consultants
