The Lyon County Planning and Appeals Board recommended two changes as part of its meeting Wednesday.
Board members recommended approval for a request from Quick Properties LLC and owner Robert McClelland for an Agriculture Conditional Use “Storage and Office” designation involving 1505 Road 310.
The board also recommended approval for adjustments to the county’s billboard regulations after conversations about possible double-sided billboards erected within 10 feet of property lines instead of the current standard of 50 feet — specifically along major highways like Interstate 35, the Kansas Turnpike and US Highway 50 and in Light Industrial, Heavy Industrial and Industrial Flex-zoned areas.
Lyon County commissioners will have the final decisions later this summer.
