Emporia firefighters handled a fire at a trailer home for the second straight day Saturday.
Firefighters went to 1206 Moonlight Lot 8 around 4:20 pm Friday and again around 3:15 pm Saturday. Firefighters were continuing their investigation into the first fire when the second one developed. Fire Capt. Michael Nunley says the initial fire was limited to the bedroom, but smoke filled the house. No people or pets were home at the time of the first fire.
With the second fire, Battalion Chief Tony Fuller says there was a rekindle in a wall that was quickly put out. There was little damage, either from fire or smoke. No injuries were reported.
