Area law enforcement agencies were busy as part of the summer Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign pver the Memorial Day period.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says it made three arrests specifically for driving while intoxicated, but it says it also issued 48 speeding citations and 11 safety belt citations. Deputies also made 13 “other citations and arrests.”
Summary reports from Chase, Greenwood and Morris county sheriff’s offices are pending.
Officers and deputies were looking for unrestrained drivers, passengers and children, but they emphasized all traffic laws were enforced during the two-week effort.
