A preliminary hearing is now set for late June in the case of an Emporia man accused of driving drunk before a fatal crash in Johnson County late last month.
Jason Eli Brumley faces one count of involuntary manslaughter-DUI after the wreck May 26 near Interstate 35 and Sunflower Road. One person was killed and two others were critically hurt. Brumley was arrested after alcohol content testing at the site of the crash, although Johnson County deputies have not specified Brumley’s blood alcohol level at the time of the wreck.
The Johnson County Jail says Brumley’s next hearing is at 11:15 am June 25.
