An early morning traffic stop Sunday led to a Shawnee County resident being arrested Sunday in Osage County.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on US Highway 56 under US 75 for an alleged violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were supposedly found in the vehicle driven by 31-year-old April Mealler of Rossville.
Mealler was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mealler was taken to the Osage County Jail where she remains at last word.
Formal charges are pending.
