Lyon County Commissioners are set to receive their final 2025 budget requests as part of their regular action meeting Thursday morning.
Commissioners will hear requests from Kristen Hughes of the Lyon County Conservation District and Julie Govert Walter of the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging. Commissioners are also set to receive several payment requests and quotes including from Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy.
Van Gundy will seek approval of a payment totaling $4,400 for the 2024-25 ESRI subscription. She will also seek commission approval to send Selena Ayer to the FBI Executive Leadership Institute in Bentonville, Arkansas from July 29 through August 2 for a total cost of $795.
Lyon County Facilities Director Robbie Weiss will submit a quote from Justice Painting for the repair, power washing and painting of the Lyon County Extension Office’s exterior for $15,400 and a proposal from Mitchell Markowitz Construction for the make and installation of handrails at 425 Mechanic Street for $5,182. Human Resources Director Alicia Rumold will also submit a request to add slots for all employees to the existing time clock.
Three executive sessions, two for legal matters and one for non-elected personnel are also planned. The meeting begins at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
