Following three alleged law enforcement chases Saturday night through Monday morning, Emporia Police have arrested one person but are looking for suspects in the other two incidents.
There are currently no stated connections between any of the three incidents.
An officer tried to stop a moped near Eighth and Neosho shortly before 10 pm Saturday. The driver fled on the moped to Hammond Park and allegedly drove southeast through the park before crashing near the 1500 block of Center. The driver then allegedly fled on foot and has not been located since.
Meanwhile, 51-year-old Arturo Aranda-Fuentes of Emporia was arrested Sunday evening after an attempted vehicle stop in the 2000 block of Industrial shortly after 8 pm. Aranda-Fuentes stopped briefly, drove off and was stopped again in the 2900 block of West 24th. Formal charges are pending.
The third incident developed shortly before 11 am Monday after an officer found a currently-unnamed person wanted on local warrants in the 800 block of State. The suspect ran off and has not yet been located.
Suspect descriptions in the Saturday night and Monday morning incidents have not been released.
