A pretrial hearing is coming next month in an Emporia drug distribution case.
Maelynn Martinez is charged with single counts of drug distribution and paraphernalia possession after an alleged incident near Emporia in mid-May. Lyon County deputies say they stopped a car on Interstate 35 near the Road U junction after it didn’t yield to a stationary emergency vehicle. Deputies say the resulting traffic stop led to over 400 grams of marijuana, nearly 120 THC vape cartridges, assorted edible THC products and drug paraphernalia allegedly in the vehicle.
The next hearing for Martinez is July 12.
