Emporia’s fourth annual Pride Festival is now in full swing.
Activities began Thursday with the inaugural Pride Comedy Kickoff show at Casa Ramos which was followed Friday night with the third annual Pride Live music festival at the corner of 9th and Commercial. Activities will conclude Saturday with the annual parade down Commercial Street and drag show celebration at the Emporia Granada Theatre hosted by Emporia’s own Drag Superstar Q.
The parade will begin at Emporia State’s Kellogg Circle at 6 pm and move south. Drivers are asked to avoid Commercial Street between Eighth and 12th between 6 and 6:30 pm. The drag show will begin at 8 pm.
Tickets for the drag show are available on H2EFest.org and cost between $10 to $20. VIP meet and greet tickets are also available for $45.
