An Emporia man was involved in a reported injury crash in the Kansas City metro area Monday.
Troopers say this wreck happened at the junction of Interstate 70 and 78th in Wyandotte County shortly before 11 am. An SUV driven by 50-year-old Michael Beasley of Overland Park had stopped on the ramp stoplight from westbound I-70 to 78th, while a semi driven by 37-year-old Justin Carr of Emporia was northbound on 78th in the outside lane. Beasley entered the intersection and hit the side of the semi.
Carr was not hurt. Beasley suffered possible injuries but was not transported by ambulance to a hospital.
