CareArc is currently looking at options to help improve both staff and patient satisfaction within its walls.
During their monthly meeting, the CareArc Board of Directors heard a presentation from Custom Learning Systems on the Iginite the Patient Experience process. According to CareArc Chief Financial Officer Seresa Howe, the presentation included helpful tips and feedback on how the health center can improve its patient experience and culture as a whole.
Following Tuesday’s discussions, the board chose to explore additional options for the same purpose. Additional conversations on the topic are expected in the coming months.
Separately Tuesday, the board discussed the health center’s refusal of care policy. Howe tells KVOE News this was simply an update to ensure all staff and leadership are “on the same page” when it comes to care refusal from patients.
In financial matters, the health center saw a net gain for May of $11,000 which was down slightly from the budgeted gain of $22,000. The month’s expenses came in at $802,000, patient revenues for the month were $360,000 and total revenues were at $812,000.
Year-to-date the health center has a net gain of $282,000. The CareArc Board of Directors will reconvene for their monthly meeting in July.
