St. Mark’s Lutheran Church’s Rodn 4 JC Car Show is set for Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
Besides the car show, there will be food, games, a cake walk, a 50-50 raffle, a silent auction, a raffle and a cornhole tournament. One other activity that will take place is Hot Wheel races.
Pastor Kent Happel says he’s curious why the races have grown over the past several years.
This is the fourth year the church has hosted the car show. Happel says hosting the car show is a unique way for the church to get out into the community. Once the first show was held, Happel says it made sense to do a yearly car show because of the turnout.
Registration for the car show can be done on the day of the show for a free-will donation.
Proceeds from the festivities will go towards random acts of kindness throughout the Emporia community.
