The Kansas Department of WIldlife and Parks has rolled out a Special Hunts program allowing access to land not usually open to hunting.
Wildlife and Parks says the program will offer opportunities with limited access to public and private lands including select refuge areas for furbearers, deer, turkeys, dovers, waterfowl and upland game.
The agency is offering more than 350 Special Hunt opportunities as part of one draw, instead of using the approach of several drawings as has been the case in past years. The application period is underway through July 28.
