There haven’t been a lot of complaints about fireworks so far this year, but the holiday had its fair share of calls to law enforcement.
Lyon County Emergency Communications reported 22 complaints, nearly half the total number of 45 for the entire sales and discharge period dating to June 27. Last year had a similar number of overall calls, but this year’s Fouth of July number is nearly double what was called in last year.
Fireworks sales and discharge officially ends Friday. Hours are 10 am to 10 pm.
