The USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education meets Wednesday with regular reports and a pair of noteworthy bids on the agenda.
Board members could approve separate bids for a wheelchair-equipped passenger bus and a walk-in cooler. They will also discuss whether the district has to exceed the current revenue-neutral rate for budget and paperwork purposes.
In addition, the board will look at property insurance proposals, as well as get the regular monthly updates on finances, legislative matters and capital outlay projects.
This is also the district’s first meeting of the academic year, so the board will choose its president and vice president. It will also make numerous appointments and business approvals as well.
The meeting starts at 6 pm at the district board office in Americus.
